2016 - A Year In Review part II

One of the main critiques I received was that the fullness of my abilities wasn't being realized during my live shows. "Yeah it's great that you sing and you rap, but you wrote AND produced these songs too? Not many people can do that to the level you do it." I had heard it from a few people here and there but never truly embraced the meaning until recently. So I marinated on it, did some googling and some youtubing and figured out that I can start bringing some of the behind-the-scenes work to life on stage. I've spent the better part of the last couple months acquiring new gear and learning new techniques to make myself a better performer, as well as display the entire arsenal of my talents.

I know I haven't been on stage in a long time. I know I've been doing my best Dr. Dre impression for the majority of 2016. Even Frank Ocean put out an album before I did. All I can ask of you is to just keep being patient. There's been a lot of amazing things happening for me behind the scenes that I can't wait to share with you guys. Most of 2016 kicked my ass probably in the same way it kicked yours. At this moment in time though, my confidence has never been so (Cudi with the assist) unfuckwittable.

I was reminded earlier today of how many of you guys shared War Paint with your friends and family. My mom literally posted it on every single facebook wall she could. In a lot of ways JDVBBS doesn't exist without you guys. Listening on Spotify, buying T-Shirts, inviting me to play for various events, bugging me about when the next track is coming out, your support is overwhelming. Year four is going to be absolutely amazing so I really hope you tune in.
